The Vicar and/or Curate are ‘ex officio’ members
The role and purposes of the committee are to oversee and manage the physical condition of the Church and its assets which includes:
- liaison with the Diocesan surveyor regarding the quinquennial inspection of the church
- proposing to the PCC, and then implementing, a programme of work in response to the quinquennial report
- preparing applications to the Diocese for faculties as appropriate.
- ensuring that the church buildings and assets are adequately insured
- ensuring that the ‘terrier’ is maintained and up to date and made available to the Churchwardens for the annual Archdeacon’s Visitation.
